For The Many

Since the EU Referendum, I’ve taken a real interest in the political landscape – home and abroad. No expert by any stretch as they say, but I care deeply about the state of the country, appalled by those who abuse their power and hopeful that there are still those who choose to do what is right and the best they can for the electorate.

FOR THE MANY

For the many, not the few!
His battlecry sounded, too
Early for those thwarted by
Deaf elites and their sly
And deadly games.

For the many, not the few!
His battlecry carried, cut through
Mediocre media saturated bias,
Clawing, rippling through masses
Gathered in his name.

For the many, not the few!
His battlecry rose, the smears it slew
Tearing through the power hungry
Desperates in their quest to crush
This threat and render him lame.

For the many, not the few!
Dawned the 9th June
When youth-inspired hearts
Answered the call, cathartic
Release from a stranglehold
Of equality lost and same, same, same.

For the many, not the few!
We rise, rise, rise anew.
For the many, not the few!
The ranks blossomed, bulged, grew,
In a shimmering dawn of hope,
For the many, not the few.
